Negotiation tools reduced costs by $88.5m annually at large utility congomerate

A large energy conglomerate was looking for new solutions to lower risk and reduce cost. Passwall Solutions built a team focused on e-Auctions (reverse auctions) and aggregated bid events across the conglomerate’s businesses. After one year, the e-Auction program was reducing RFP costs by an average 3% ($75m) of all spend using e-Auctions as the negotiation tool, and the aggregation program was saving 3.9% ($13.5m) annually. A team of twelve ran at least 2,000 e-Auctions each year and completed 40 aggregation events, building lasting value for the utility and leading to better supply chain alignment.
